Brian Wilkes has experience in genealogy, and even wrote a
how to book on genealogy in 1991 before the internet, but he still ran into walls with documentation
and dead-ends as we all do. He contacted
me for consulting and explained his desire to document his Native American
ancestry as his DNA had noted.
During my consultation, I was able to teach and show him the internet tools that assisted him in breaking down those walls.
Not only is he able to document his Native American ancestry with a Virginia tribe, which was the original goal, he also now documents ancestry to Jamestown, Virginia's nobility, and to many royal families of Britain and Europe.
My goal as a genealogist consultant is to teach individuals
how to research their own ancestry thus allowing them to understand their
background more thoroughly.
